The Coalition for Buzzards Bay is a non-profit organization committed to the preservation and restoration of Buzzards Bay and its watershed. An important project of the Coalition is the collection and analysis of Bay water quality in 30 coves and harbors along Buzzards Bay's shores. We transformed the basement of this historic Nashawena Mills into an efficient yet welcoming facility, which now functions as the center of operations for the Buzzards Bay Baywatchers program. We are proud to have designed the lab that the Baywatchers program uses for providing scientific data needed to restore and protect our fragile coastline environment. The renovation was funded in part by the Island Foundation in memory of the late David Emerson Riggs.
