Crocker Field

Designed by esteemed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. in 1918, Crocker Field was intended to enhance civic pride in Fitchburg and be an athletic resource for the town's children. A venue for countless graduations, track meets, and Thanksgiving Day football games, the park had fallen into disrepair over the years. We were hired to do a feasibility study for the rehabilitation of the Field House and the Grandstand Roof, important first steps in the restoration of the entire facility. Crocker Field is listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places, and this study has received partial funding from the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
