For the past few years, we have been overseeing the design and construction of the renovation/expansion of the 1890 Flint Public Library in Middleton, Massachusetts. Maintaining the historical integrity of this landmark has been very important. Within the context of a set budget and an existing MBLC Grant, we fine-tuned details such as roof pitch, brick patterns and window sizes so that the addition blends more harmoniously with the original library and maximized efficiency in order to reduce the square footage and meet the budget without compromising the program.
