New Bedford Friends Meeting House

This New Bedford landmark was once frequented by Frederick Douglass and was an important stop on the Underground Railway. The project included major exterior improvements - wood window restoration, slate roof repairs, selective masonry repointing and the replacement of copper ridge caps. The project also involved major interior structural framing repairs. The renovation was funded in part by a Preservation Projects Grant through the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
