The Parting of the Ways Building is located on the Acushnet town green and has served the town since 1877. First constructed as a two-room Italianate schoolhouse and later expanded in 1903 and 1911, the building now serves the needs of the police department, school department and board of health. Partially funded by the Massachusetts Historical Commission, this project included an exterior restoration and accessibility improvements. Since the town hopes to move town departments out of the building in the future, a master plan for an expanded police station was included in our scope of work.
