We were recently hired to do a feasibility study for the renovation of Stoneham's 1916 fire station. The station's distinctive tower has been a visible focal point of Stoneham's downtown for nearly a century, but, unfortunately, the structure has been a victim of deferred maintenance and benign neglect over the years. The assignment encompasses a thorough architectural and structural assessment of the building's current condition and prioritized recommendations for repairs and for maintenance procedures that will help avert future deterioration.
