These
clients are actively involved in fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
and needed a new home with large formal spaces for entertaining on a grand scale.
On a day to day basis, they wanted small, intimate spaces for a family of five.
The challenge was to mesh these two diverse functions in a home that also fit
well within the context of an established neighborhood. Saving every possible
tree was also a priority, as was placingthe home within the existing landscape.
Attention was given throughout to Weston's particularly stringent permitting
process.
